PRODUCT DETAILS
About Biosr-D Tablet
DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE belongs to a group of gastrointestinal agents used to treat acidity, heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia (indigestion), epigastric pain, peptic ulcers, and eradication of helicobacter pylori infection. DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE is a sustained release formulation that prolongs drug release for a longer duration of time.
DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE is a combination of two drugs: Esomeprazole (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Esomeprazole works by blocking an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid Domperidone works by increasing the movements and contractions of stomach muscle. Together, DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE helps in treating acidity-related problems.
Take DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE 1 hour prior to food. Swallow DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew, or break the tablet. You are advised to take DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Inform your doctor before taking DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE if you have severe kidney or liver disease; if you are due to have Chromogranin A blood test; if you have fungal infections, heart problems, or HIV infection. Talk to your doctor before taking DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE if you have osteoporosis: DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE may increase the risk of bone fractures on long-term treatment. Consult your doctor before taking DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol and DOMPERIDONE+ESOMEPRAZOLE as it could lead to increased drowsiness and elevate stomach acid production. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects.
